Relay For Life Themes

Often, the first thing a committee has to decide on is a theme. I have compiled a list of themes from my own experience and from ideas I have seen online:

·         Board Game Theme – Every team can pick a board game

·         Cancer Doesn’t Take A Holiday – Every team can pick a holiday, lap themes based on holidays, etc

·         Color Me Cured/Life Savers –Every team can be a color

·         Compete to Beat Cancer: Sports Theme – Every team can pick a sports team or a sport

·         Happily Ever After: Fairy Tale Theme – Every team can pick a fairy tale

·         Journey to a Cure…History in the Making – Every team can pick a decade

·         Kiss Cancer Goodbye: Candy Theme – Hershey Kisses everywhere, each team can pick a candy

·         Lettuce Make a Difference: Veggie Theme – Every team cam pick a vegetable

·         Luau For Life – Luau or Breach theme

·         New Year’s Eve

·         Night at the Movies: Every team can pick a movie

·         Olympics – Every team can pick a sport/country

·         Passport to a Cure – Every team can have a country, have passports for kids to get filled out at different activities, teams, etc.

·         Rock For Relay/Banding Together to Cure Cancer/Battle of the Ban(d) Cancer: Music Theme – Every team can pick a band or a decade of music, etc.

·         Spice Up the Fight: Mexican Fiesta

·         Superheros

·         Survivor Theme

·         Take Me Out to the Ballgame: Baseball Theme – Every team can pick an MLB team

·         Television Theme – Every team can pick a television show

·         Up All Night: The Ultimate Pajama Party – Large pajama party, wear pajamas, decorate with pillows and blankets and other fun sleepover things (midnight movie, junk food, etc)

·         Wedding – Special chairs for survivors

·         Wish Upon A Star/Wish Upon A Cure: Disney Theme
